To be sure , the film certainly has moments where the potential for corpulent , more meaningful discussions and development surfaces — Lilly and Dr. Larry have several view together where it feel like there is going to be further dissection of grief and where Lilly and Jack are on the brink of an aroused discovery — but nothing in truth ever come from it .
It becomes slow and frustrating to watch asThe Starlinglingers at the edges of something deeper , all so that it can progress toward a clichéd ending that does n’t wholly sense earn . McCarthy , O’Dowd and Kline are wonderful in their roles , but that is n’t a surprise considering the natural endowment of these actors .
