The Bourne Supremacy
If you enjoyedThe Bourne Identityyou’ll enjoy this worthy sequel, that except for some overly jumpy camera work and editing, delivers.
In my early recapitulation ofThe Bourne Identity , I stated thatThe Bourne Supremacyhad a set to live up to due to the prior pic ’s excellency .
I ’m here to tell you that it did n’t disappoint .
Except for a new managing director , it ’s fairly much the same squad at work here as in the first film , and there ’s a sense of that here … like everyone has gotten to know the part and this world , and it ’s all become second nature to them .
Bourne Supremacypicks up two years after the events of the first film , with Jason Bourne and Marie ( his spouse from the first film ) live in India , still apparently under the radar and still in love , but Jason is plagued by nightmare . These dreams give him brief glimpse of his past , but nothing really tangible . He still does not have sex anything about his life prior to the events ofBourne Identity .
As you could wait , they are " made " within minute of the beginning of the movie , and things build from there . After a abbreviated action sequence , thing slow down a act , and this time in addition to viewing things from Bourne ’s period of purview as he tries to piece together his disconnected computer memory , we also see things from the CIA ’s point of perspective … trying to figure out what his next move will be .
Do n’t worry though , this isnota snoozer … the pace soon picks up once again . It ’s just that the motion picture gives you time to catch your breath between high - energy scenes , alternatively of bombarding you relentlessly to the period of numbness to the whole matter . Of naturally if you ’re reading this and you ’re under 25 , I realise that your enjoyment of a film is instantly relative to the number of mind - numbing activity chronological succession that can be consecutively strung together .
If you ’re sanely smart , the person behind all the mayhem will become clear to you before being divulged in the moving picture , but despite this there was one affair that I really enjoyed in this film : It did not insult the intelligence of the consultation . That ’s really rare these solar day . I get so banal of getting bunk over the fountainhead with game points in so many films … hey , the audience might not get it , let ’s be REALLY CLEAR . Here it ’s as if the director take exception you to keep up … if you stop paying aid , hey , that ’s your trouble .
There are a couple of fight scenes in the film standardised to those in the first picture show . The main one was shot and edited a bit too faithful and fast for my taste , but not as bad as I ’ve seen in other films , where you ca n’t even narrate what ’s going on . There was also a car chase that had a twist I have n’t seen in other following , and you ’ll realize what I mean once you see the film . In this case Ididlike the frenetic pace of the redaction , which really brings you into the gadget driver ’s seat .
Matt Damon does an admirable business here , balancing real - mankind - superhero skills with a humanity and vulnerability ( man , did I really just say that ? ) which makes him seem real and take in you care about him and his plight .
The Bourne Supremacy is the second installment in the Bourne franchise. The 2004 spy thriller film directed by Paul Greengrass follows assassin Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) as he’s pursued by the CIA while trying to uncover the truth about his past.
Oh , and for those of you who care about such thing ( like myself ) , they get by to make this with a minimum of foul language or intimate situations . Go figure .
I really go for this does well and that everyone regard returns forThe Bourne Ultimatum .
