Shrek 2
Shrek 2 is a witty followup to the original film that while very funny, contains a few scenes that are inappropriate for kids and could have been left on the cutting room floor.
Well , you be intimate how you front forward to a sequel to a really great movie while at the same time dreading it ? you could rest slow , Shrek 2was great ( with a few caveats for parent ) . You ’ll be laughing from the first five minute .
The best affair a sequel can do is to take the same characters and go in a unlike guidance . Take the fib from the original film , change it only slightly and you ’ve got a recipe for ennui . For an example , look at theLethal Weaponmovies . First one wasgreat(for what it was ) . Second one was n’t bad , but then the series became formulaic ( Hey , it worked once , did n’t it ? ) and break down down the tubes .
In the originalShrek , Dreamworks took target at the classic Disney tale and fictitious character with unsubtle slash … poking full - gamey playfulness at them . Been there , done that . It ’s funnyonce , but if it was restate here in the same way it would have gotten old tight . InShrek 2 , they ’ve pulled in character to other well - known film with a jog and a wink , and it ’s great for bring either just a smiling to your fount or a hearty laughter out of you .
Some of the memorable characters from the first film are back : Pinocchio , the wolf in grandma ’s clothing , the gingerbread man , and the three blind shiner . Although they were funny , some of the caper call for these guy wire bothered me a bit . More on that later .
Here we also learn that even fairy godmother do n’t give you something for nothing , and that there is a price to be pay for their good favors . I do n’t want to give too much away , but the relationships in this floor were animate !
The CGI is incredible . I chance myself tear out of the movie at times , not due to poor living , but because it was so grand . The detail and subtlety in the faces of the characters was such that it was almost eerie . Perhaps the animators went a bit too close-fitting to realism in the rendering …
Ok , here are my issues with this , a PG motion-picture show . Whyis it necessary to have sexual humor in a film of this type ? It still would have been funny without this kind of thing . Every time one of these bits issue forth up , it could have been replaced with something else . There were references to " being sexy " , tight tail end , a role being " gender confused " and one male character wearing women ’s thong underclothes .
While I really liked the film overall , these bit took out from my enjoyment of the film .
