In part this is down to the AI drivers themselves , who can be see to make some bizarre decisions . Often the player will lap another driver who has become stuck against the paries of the track , and is struggling to make it back on course . At the very least , though , this balances out some of the astonishingly unjust power - ups thatRenzo Racerincludes , such as one that just and unceremoniously dump the number one wood further down the multitude through sheer luck of the draw .
Players will support from the curse of getting stuck on walls , too . Occasionally a bump might send the thespian onto their side , pound against the boundary of the raceway and unable to move forward . This upshot with the wider physics ofRenzo Raceris perhaps the thing that makes it the most strange to toy . Its environs feel like they are float in place , miss that sturdy feeling that a mellow timber racer needs to immerse the histrion in their experience . Meanwhile , Renzo Racer ’s object appear to follow in two categories : immovable or able-bodied to fly away at a moment ’s notice .
Most of the time , getting stuck while driving will ensue in eventually being teleported back and being able-bodied to retain go . However , there are moments where this functionality fails outright , with the histrion apparently permanently rooted in lieu or ( even worse ) sent on an ambling journey backwards , having lost any agency over the direction of their vehicle in all . Luckily , the thespian does have the pick to manually readjust themselves , but it ’s clumsy that the option is demand at all .
These gameplay issues are really what counteract the experience ofRenzo Racer , although the deed does n’t really shine anywhere . That said , it ’s still competent enough , even if it ’s nothing to write menage about .
The circuit , too , are fine , and there ’s a well variety show here . The best kart racer manage to tap into the feeling of a paper park , with the racing circuit roleplay as different rides , andRenzo Racerdoes leave this through tracks that take instrumentalist from a candy land through to pirate islands . Some do look highly close to the aim of other kart racers , though , such as a data track that shares more than a glancing resemblance toMario Kart ’s iconic Rainbow Road .
Neither its characters nor its circuit are enough to saveRenzo Racer . There are some fundamental flaws in the way the game plays , and these are impossible to surmount for even the most adorable of casts . As such , it ’s unlikely thatRenzo Raceris going to be much of a dwelling for anyone .
