Jonny ( Kiah McKirnan ) is an point-blank teen send to exist with her auntie Hildie ( Alicia Silverstone ) . Though they do n’t precisely love how she does business organization , the girl do form a bond , which is good because the homo at the school are psychopaths and no teacher , manful or female , can be trust . Perpetratorhas a very appealing assumption . malefic teachers , a sisterhood of witches , and an auntie who has all the answers but evokes zero trust . Sadly these voice do not gel well together . The film builds a dear foundation that let in horrible gentleman’s gentleman and plots a trend for the charwoman to come out on top , but there is no eubstance to this motif . On the one hand , it ’s very easy and , frankly , play to root against the school corpus ( Christopher Lowell ) . On the other hand , it ’s not entirely clear what his part as the resister is by the conclusion of the celluloid . By the beginning of the third act it ’s clear what the villains of the motion-picture show are after , but who they really are is far more wispy . The thing that truly stopsPerpetratorfrom being great is the performance . Reeder is become for a conventionalize form of directing , but the result is a mish - mash of bad and on occasion terrible acting . In the film ’s defense , there is a certain level of camp that many horror movies be in , and that tune the acting to a frequence you wo n’t see at the Academy Awards .
